Tour Information
Tours of all three floors of the Thorp Mill are available Friday through Sunday during the summer travel season (June-August) from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays and Sundays, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Visitors can view a timeline of events and historical artifacts from the mill’s history, as well as a restored mill operator’s office and machinery from the mill’s first-floor operations.
Throughout the entire year, visitors are welcome during daylight hours to take a self-guided tour of the mill grounds and view an interpretive exhibit about the site’s history. Ten separate interpretive stations explain in intricate detail the mill’s construction, operation, and renovation. Picnic tables are also available for family outings and as a rest stop for weary travelers.
